Kirfi APC Urges Tinubu To Reward Bala Wunti’s Loyalty

All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kirfi local government area of Bauchi State has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party’s national leadership to recognise and reward Dr Bala Maijama’a Wunti for his loyalty to the party despite failing to secure the APC ticket for 2027 Bauchi governorship election.

The appeal was made during a courtesy visit by the Kirfi APC Executive Committee to the Kirfi local government coordinator of the Bala Wunti Support Organisation (BWSO).

During the visit, the APC chairman in Kirfi LGA, Alhaji Shayibu Habibu Wanka, represented by the party’s organising secretary, Alhaji Saidu Maishayi, described Wunti as an exemplary politician who placed the unity and progress of the APC above personal ambition.

He said Wunti’s decision to remain committed to the party and continue mobilising support for the APC after the governorship primary reflected political maturity, discipline and statesmanship worthy of national recognition.

“Dr. Bala Wunti has demonstrated exceptional loyalty to the APC. Rather than allowing personal disappointment to divide the party, he chose unity, peace and the overall success of the APC. Such uncommon commitment should not go unnoticed.

“We therefore appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the national leadership of our great party to adequately reward and carry Dr. Bala Wunti and his supporters along in the affairs of the APC. His experience, influence and widespread goodwill are invaluable assets that the party cannot afford to overlook,” he said.

The APC leadership noted that Dr. Wunti had consistently committed his resources, time and energy to strengthening the party while improving the lives of ordinary citizens through various humanitarian and empowerment programmes.

It added that leaders with Dr. Wunti’s experience and grassroots appeal would play a critical role in the APC’s success in future elections, urging the party’s national leadership to give him the necessary support to continue mobilising members across Bauchi State.

“The APC needs Dr. Bala Wunti, and he equally deserves the full support of the Presidency and the party leadership. His popularity, philanthropic disposition and commitment to grassroots development remain major strengths that will help the APC consolidate its position and secure victory in future elections,” the party said.

The APC also commended members of the Bala Wunti Support Organisation for remaining loyal to the party and continuing to promote its ideals despite recent political developments.

Responding, the Kirfi Local government coordinator of the Bala Wunti Support Organisation, Alhaji Kaloma, thanked the APC leadership for the visit and reaffirmed Dr. Wunti’s commitment to the party.

He assured the party that Dr. Wunti and the organisation would continue to support programmes aimed at improving the welfare of the people, particularly women, youths and the less privileged.

Kaloma added that Dr. Wunti’s lifelong commitment to humanitarian service and inclusive development remained unwavering, stressing that the organisation would continue working with political and civil society groups to promote policies and programmes that improve the lives of the people of Bauchi State and Nigeria.
