A former chairman of Okene local government in the Second Republic, Alhaji Isa Sani Omolori, has called on the immediate past governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, to shun mischief-makers who are bent on sowing discord in Kogi Central Senatorial District.

According to him, the failed attempt to recall Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan is a dangerous manoeuvre.

In a letter to the former governor, Omolori praised Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s performance, saying it echoes across the country.

According to him, she is a true representative, a powerhouse, and a symbol of hope for women, deeply admired by many. “Her rise is seen by many as a divine blessing,” he said.

He further said, “Your Excellency, the euphoria that greeted your ascension to the helm of affairs in Kogi State was undoubtedly one of a kind. Your success was not yours alone. It was ours.”

To have broken a jinx that lasted for almost three decades sets you apart as a leader of historic significance.

“Demystifying the claim that power belongs to one side. Your commitment to inclusive governance is evident, and the grand agenda of power rotation has quietly endeared you to the good people of Kogi State.

“One of the most widely praised decisions you made was the choice of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. I wholeheartedly agree, for he is an exemplary gentleman whose heart is fully aligned with the needs of our people. His achievements thus far stand as a true reflection of your visionary leadership, and without a doubt, our people are both grateful and pleased with him.

“It is of utmost importance that the renewed energy ushered in by Governor Ododo in advancing progress be strengthened and preserved. The ability to embrace both allies and critics alike is a hallmark of exceptional leadership, which sets extraordinary leaders apart from merely great ones. Ebira, and indeed all of Kogi State, stands in need of such a leader. And this noble responsibility is not above you.

“The performance of our dear Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan echoes across the country. She is a true representative, a powerhouse, and a symbol of hope for women, deeply admired by many. Her rise is seen by many as a divine blessing.

“It is therefore important to disregard the voices of mischief-makers whose sole aim is to sow seeds of discord in Kogi Central. The failed attempt to recall Senator Natasha is a dangerous manoeuvre. Their actions are not only unhelpful but also perilous to the unity and progress we have collectively built.

If these elements are not curbed in time, their negativity could impact all political parties, result in collective loss, and resounding failure on your path.

“Whether within your camp or outside it, they serve the common interest of our people, which we believe remains paramount to you. Our people cannot afford to gamble with these golden opportunities, Almighty Allah has blessed us.”
