Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthen tertiary education in the state.
The governor gave the promise during the 7th combined convocation ceremony and 25th anniversary celebration of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba yesterday.
The governor who was represented by his deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu, described the occasion as a moment of academic reflection, institutional pride and renewed commitment to the founding ideals of the university.
He paid tribute to the institution’s founder and former governor of the state, late Prince Abubakar Audu, noting that the university remained one of his most enduring legacies.
He commended the university’s steady growth over the years, highlighting its expanding academic programmes, research output, and the achievements of its graduates in public service, academia, industry, and entrepreneurship.
