Kogi State governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has declared that the state will fully mobilise in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing the President’s re-election bid as a collective commitment driven by the people of Kogi.

Ododo gave the assurance in a statement issued on Monday by the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, while congratulating President Tinubu on his victory at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary.

The governor said the outcome of the primary reflected strong confidence in the President’s leadership style, reform agenda, and national acceptance across party lines.

According to him, President Tinubu’s administration has continued to demonstrate uncommon commitment to national development, with particular attention to Kogi State through key approvals and strategic interventions.

“The governor sees Mr. President’s re-election as a personal project to unlock the enormous potential of Kogi State. Mr. President has granted approvals for the establishment of an airport, a Free Trade Zone, an Agricultural Processing Zone, and several other transformational projects,” the statement said.

Ododo stressed that the people of Kogi State would remain steadfast in their support for the President, noting that the ongoing economic reforms were already laying the foundation for long-term growth and prosperity.

“For us in Kogi State, the reelection of Mr. President is a reward for his love for the state and for the greatness of our nation,” he said, adding that the reforms would ultimately reposition Nigeria for sustainable development.

He commended President Tinubu for subjecting himself to the party’s democratic process despite his position as national leader, saying the gesture had further strengthened public trust in his leadership.

The governor reaffirmed Kogi State’s commitment to progressive governance, national unity, and economic transformation under the current administration, pledging full political support ahead of 2027.
