A Kwara State chiefain of All Progressive Congress, APC , Ahmad Muhammad, has donated N1 million to the families of five forest guards killed by bandits in Nukku, Kaiama Local Government Area of the state.
Muhammad, who is also an aspirant on the APC seeking to represent Kaiama I Constituency in the state, appealed well meaning indegines of the state to support the government to fight insecurity .
The donation came amid growing concerns over insecurity in parts of Kaiama Local Government Area following recent attacks by bandits.
Speaking at the event, Muhammad said insecurity, agriculture, education and youth participation would remain key issues in the constituency ahead of the 2027 polls.
He said consultations with residents across the constituency influenced his decision to join the race.
Muhammad also said the constituency required improved infrastructure, economic opportunities and stronger representation.
