Ladoja’s Coronation Marks Significant Milestone In Ibadan Cultural Heritage — KK Raji

A chieftain of the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Kolawole Raji has described the coronation on Monday of the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja as a significant milestone in the rich cultural heritage of Ibadan in honoring a leader whose contributions have profoundly impacted the community.

Raji stated this in his statement reacting to the coronation of Ladoja by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin as a beaded crown wearing monarch in Ibadan.

The historic event took which took place at the new ultramodern palace of the Olubadan in Oke Aremo, signified Oba Ladoja’s esteemed inclusion among the beaded-crown-wearing monarchs in Ibadanland.
“This remarkable occasion marks a significant milestone in the rich cultural heritage of Ibadan, honoring a leader whose contributions have profoundly impacted the community,” Raji said.

The former NigComSat Executive Director noted that, “Oba Ladoja has consistently demonstrated exceptional wisdom, resilience, courage, and commitment throughout his career, earning the respect and admiration of many.

“This honour is a testament to your outstanding contributions and steadfast dedication to the betterment of our community. Your leadership has been a beacon of hope and progress, and this recognition is a fitting tribute to your remarkable legacy.”

The APC chieftain further stated that Ladoja’s acceptance of the beaded crown was a celebration of his significant role in preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Ibadanland.

“It also underscores the importance of traditional institutions in fostering unity, continuity, and development within the community.

“As the Otun Olubadan, Oba Ladoja’s leadership continues to inspire many, and his new title further solidifies his position as a pivotal figure in the socio-cultural landscape of Ibadan and beyond.”
