Lagos Assembly Rejects Egube, Odusote, Confirms 15 Cabinet-nominees

Lagos State House of Assembly on Thursday rejected two of the fresh 18 cabinet nominees presented by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to them for screening.

The list of screened nominees obtained in the Assembly showed that former commissioner for economic planning and budget, Sam Egube who was rejected in the first list presented by Sanwo-Olu was not cleared by the Assembly.

Also, a former commissioner for energy, Engr Olalere Odusote, was rejected for the second time by the Assembly.

The House however resolved to step down the confirmation of Hon. Tolani Sule Akibu, for another day.

The House confirmed 15 cabinet-nominees, among whom was the a former commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, who was first rejected by the Assembly and was represented by the governor e before his clearance.

The  nominees cleared by the Assembly are Dr. Afolabi Abiodun Tajudeen; Mr. Oluwaseun Oriyomi Osiyemi; Prof. Akinola Emmanuel Abayomi ;Dr. Oluwarotimi Omotola Wahab Fashola; Mrs. Folashade Kaosarat Ambrose-Medem ;Mr. Akinyemi Bankole Ajigbotafe; Mrs. Bolaji Cecelia Dada ;Mrs. Barakat Akande Bakare; Mr. Olugbenga Omotoso; Mr. Mosopefolu George ; Yekini Nurudeen Agbaje ;Dr. Olumide Oluyinka ;Mr. Abayomi Samson Oluyomi; Dr. Iyabode Oyeyemi Ayoola and Hon. Sola Shakirudeen Giwa.
