Lagos Lawmaker, Desmond Elliott, Condoles Speaker Obasa Over Father’s Death

The lawmaker representing Surulere 1 constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Desmond Olushola Elliott, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, on the demise of the latter’s father, Alhaji Sulaimon Obasa.

Elliott expressed deep sorrow at the news, describing the loss as both shocking and saddening.

“As an esteemed elder statesman known for his patriotism, our nation still greatly needs the wisdom, insight, and guidance of Alhaji Sulaimon Obasa. It is truly distressing that we have lost him at this critical time,” Elliott remarked.

He stated further that the departure of Alhaji Sulaimon Obasa was an immense loss not only to the Obasa family but also to all who have been touched by his exemplary virtues.

“As a devout Muslim, his integrity and leadership in fostering love and harmony within our communities were unparalleled.

“On behalf of myself and the constituents of Surulere 1, I extend heartfelt condolences to you and the entire Obasa family during this time of profound grief. May the enduring love of God provide you with solace and strength,” Elliott stated.
