The funeral prayer (Janaza) for the late renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, who passed away on Thursday, has been fixed for Friday, November 28, 2025, at his residence in Kofar Gombe, Bauchi metropolis of Bauchi State.
One of his followers, M. Daha Azhary Bauchi, announced the burial arrangements on Thursday.
“The funeral prayer of Maulana Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi will be held tomorrow, Friday, 28-11-2025, in Bauchi,” he announced.
The eminent Islamic scholar, who had been battling an illness, died on Thursday at the age of 98.
Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi was born on Al-Muharram 2, 1346 A.H. (June 29, 1927) in Nafada, which is now part of present-day Gombe State, and rose to become one of the most influential leaders of the Tijjaniyya Islamic set in Nigeria and beyond.
