The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), in the July 11, 2026 Egor local government area election, Hon. Osaro Eribo, has pledged not to disappoint residents of the council area, assuring that his administration would fast-track  infrastructural and socio-economic development across the 10 political wards of the local government area.

Eribo, who is also the acting chairman of Egor LGA, gave the assurance yesterday during the flag-off of the APC local government election campaign in Egor, where he highlighted achievements recorded within the few months of his administration and solicited continued support from party faithful ahead of the polls. He said his administration has embarked on aggressive road rehabilitation and community development projects, revealing that no fewer than 208 roads have been graded across the local government.

“As we speak, I have graded 208 roads in Egor Local Government and we are still grading.

We have also carried out desilting works along Uwasota and Textile Mill roads. I assure our people that my team and I will not disappoint them in fast-tracking development across all the 10 wards of Egor,” he said.

The APC candidate attributed the successes recorded so far to the support of Governor Monday Okpebholo, whom he commended for providing heavy-duty equipment for road construction and rehabilitation across the state.

He noted that Egor was among the first councils to commence road grading even before receiving tractors from the state government.

He further disclosed that the council had procured 10 transformers for distribution to the 10 wards to improve electricity supply, while also strengthening security by increasing the number of local vigilantes from about 50 to 278.

He added that plans were underway to recruit more personnel in line with the state government’s benchmark of 300 vigilantes per council area.

He also unveiled plans to construct an ultra-modern motor park at the Egor Vegetable Market to enhance orderliness and boost commercial activities, while promising additional grassroots projects, including the construction of public toilet facilities in strategic locations within the council.

The APC flag bearer used the occasion to appreciate the leadership of the party, particularly Governor Okpebholo, the APC leadership and his political mentor, Hon. Crosby Eribo, whom he described as his political pillar, for their unwavering support, guidance and commitment to the growth of the party in Egor Local Government Area.
