Man In Police Net For Stabbing 25-yr-old Man To Death In Lagos

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have apprehended an adult male identified as Musa Zayanu for stabbing a 25-year-old simply identified as Mahmud in the Abule Egba Area of Lagos State.

Sources reported that an altercation between both parties led to the tragic incident, which occurred on Monday, March 10, 2025.

The State Police Command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed and confirmed to journalists on Tuesday in Lagos that the suspect was in police custody.

According to him, “On 10/032025 at about 0900hr, a report was received at Oke-Odo Division that on the same date at about 0700 hrs at the Bolar site in Abuke-Egba, one Musa Zayanut “M” stabbed one Mahmud “M” aged 25 with a knife on the left side of his stomach and as a result of this, the victim bled profusely from the injury sustained and subsequently this led to his death.”

Hundeyin further said, “The DPO immediately led a team of policemen to the scene of the crime, where photographs of the deceased were taken, and the knife used in the commission of the crime was recovered.”

Meanwhile, the corpse of the victim has been evacuated by the Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit and deposited at the Mainland General Hospital Mortuary, Yaba, for preservation and autopsy.
