To celebrate Senator Kabir Garba Marafa’s 64th Birthday, his mentees have decided to feed 10,000 less privileged persons on Monday, 16th September, 2024.

Born on 16th September 1960, Senator Marafa, who represented Zamfara Central Senatorial District between 2011 and 2019, was a leading and founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State.

Under the aegis of the Marafa Mentorship Forum (MMF), the group led by Dr Mikailu Barau and Barrister Abubakar Gajam, chairman and secretary, respectively, the mentees said the less privileged would be fed at the Federal Medical Centre, Gusau, the Zamfara State Capital.

Barau said MMF, a group of professionals supported by Senator Marafa with high-value jobs and study opportunities, will commission a student loan support centre in honour of Senator Marafa.

The activities to mark Senator Marafa’s birthday will culminate in a symposium on “Zamfara: The nexus of Youth Empowerment, Stability, and Development.”

Extolling Senator Marafa’s virtues, the group described the former lawmaker as a politician par excellence who worked hard to tackle the challenges facing Zamfara State and its environs while representing Zamfara Central Senatorial District.

“ Because he doesn’t want his birthday celebrated, we have decided to mark it the way he cherishes the most – feeding the power. This is why we are feeding 10,000 less privileged persons on Monday to celebrate his 64th birthday,” he said.
