Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has released the trailer for third movie its Antman superhero story titled Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania.
The two minutes, nineteen seconds trailer opens with Antman, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) basking in the success of his superhero and ordinary lives, albeit a mistaken identity of sorts as people kept referring to him as Spiderman. Prior to a meeting with his in-laws, Hank Pym (Michael Douglass), Wasp, Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), his daughter Cathy turns on a device that signals the outer universe to the earth. But hardly had Janet issued the warning that Cathy turn-off the device than they were all sucked in into open portal to the quantum space – a secret universe beneath the earth, which appears to be a desolate futuristic outerspace dominated by aliens and some unwieldy human characters.
In the unfamiliar and violent world, a voice presumably that of Kang the Conqueror played by Jonathan Majors (who ironically is the only one that recognized and acknowledged Antman by his superhero identity) is heard telling Antman, “this place, it isn’t what you think. I can get you home, and give you more time, if you help me. So, what will it be?”
Netizens were all agog about the voice, whose identity briefly revealed in the last seconds of the trailer they swore was Kang the Conqueror; while others were excited about the storyline, the IMAX trailer and classic video format.
“I know a lot of people have been complaining about the quality of visual effects of the more recent MCU projects, but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they saved all their budget for this movie because it looks STUNNING. And to be honest, I’m completely fine with it,” Zoebug.
Oh, I really hope the movie is as great as it’s portrayed here in the trailer! This could easily be one of the best MCU movies since Endgame, and is a great way to start Phase Five,” Doctor Lemons
