The conversation around menstrual health in Nigeria has taken a new turn with the unveiling of Girls Tag, the country’s first all-in-one period care kit.

Designed to provide young girls with dignity, comfort and confidence, Girls Tag combines premium hygiene products with educational resources to support adolescent development.

Actress and philanthropist, Mercy Johnson-Okojie and her daughter, Purity Okojie, have been announced as co-brand ambassadors, a move that underscores the brand’s commitment to authenticity, family values and empowerment. Their involvement also signals a new era of corporate responsibility in the health and wellness space.

Johnson-Okojie described the initiative as deeply personal. “As a mother, I want my daughter to step into womanhood without fear or embarrassment.

Girls Tag is doing exactly that—helping families replace shame with pride and confusion with confidence,” she said.

Central to the Girls Tag kit is Mercy’s newly authored book, Youberty, a puberty guide for boys and girls aged 10–13. Included in every kit, the book provides relatable guidance and reassurance, ensuring that children are equipped with both practical tools and knowledge to navigate adolescence confidently.

Each kit contains premium sanitary pads in multiple sizes, overnight period pants, panty liners, disposable bags and a discreet carrying pouch. Together, these items offer a comprehensive solution that supports hygiene, dignity and confidence, while preparing girls for different stages of their cycle.

Eddie Madaki and Oche Ejiga of iBlend Services, the regional agency for Girls Tag, emphasised the strategic value of the partnership. “Mercy and Purity’s voices are genuine. Their journey together mirrors the experiences of countless Nigerian families, making them the perfect ambassadors for Girls Tag,” they said.

Girls Tag will be available nationwide in Q2 2026 through retail outlets, pharmacies, malls and direct online sales via the official website and social media handle. The multi-channel distribution strategy aims to ensure accessibility for families across both urban and rural communities.
