Rector Gets Yoruba Leadership Award Of Integrity

Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, Dr Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, has been decorated with the Yoruba Leadership Award of Integrity by the Yoruba Youth Assembly (YYA) headquartered in Ibadan, Oyo State

The deputy rector, Dr Samson Omogbehin, registrar, Mr Gabriel Awe, bursar, Mr Ebenezer Olabode, the polytechnic librarian, Dr Rachael Aladeniyi, as well as other well-wishers attended the ceremony, held at the Rector’s Conference Room.

In a statement e-signed by the polytechnic’s deputy registrar, Information, Protocol & Passages, Sanmi Enigbokan, and made available to LEADERSHIP, said at the brief occasion, the president of Yoruba Youth Assembly, Aare Olarinde Thomas, commended the rector for his notable achievements, stressing that the award was in recognition of his love for education and admirable leadership qualities exhibited in all the institutions he has held strategic positions, spanning Federal Polytechnic, Offa; Lens Polytechnic, Offa and Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji.

He noted that the awardee is conferred as the “Grand Commander of Ideal Education in Nigeria for the year 2025” because he has positively impacted lives and made huge contributions to the empowerment of youths, students and staff members.

While accepting the award, the rector expressed his appreciation to the Youth Assembly for the honour bestowed on him and the polytechnic community.

Ebelokun dedicated the award to the entire polytechnic community while acknowledging the supportive role played by other principal officers, which has made his job seamless.

The president of the Youth Assembly was accompanied to the award presentation by the Ondo State coordinator, Mr Ariyo Vincent and the director of Media, Ogbeni Olaleru Folorunsho.

 

YYA is the umbrella body of youths in the South-West geopolitical zone. It was established to protect and preserve Yoruba indigenous languages, cultural heritage, as well as provide platforms for youth engagement, leadership development and entrepreneurship, among others.
