Christians from across the Middle Belt and minority Christian communities in Northern Nigeria are seeking a common position on insecurity, displacement, religious freedom and inclusive governance at the first-ever Fire Convocation in Kafanchan, Kaduna State.

In a statement issued in Kafanchan on Thursday by Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, Vision Pioneer of Throneroom Trust Ministry, said the gathering was aimed at amplifying the voices of the Middle Belt and encouraging collective efforts to shape the region’s future.

According to Kure, the convocation is expected to provide a platform for participants to examine challenges confronting their communities, identify shared priorities and promote unity across ethnic, denominational and political divides.

Kure said the gathering was intended to go beyond prayer and fellowship by encouraging constructive engagement and collective action on issues affecting the region.

He added that bringing together Christians from different communities would help strengthen solidarity and promote a shared vision for the Middle Belt.

The pioneer noted that insecurity, justice, inclusion and sustainable development remained central to the aspirations of communities across the region.

Kure said the broader objective of the gatherings was to translate spiritual renewal into purposeful engagement, responsible leadership and sustained efforts towards building a more peaceful, secure and prosperous Middle Belt.

According to the statement, the programme will also feature a Bonfire Night for fellowship, prayer and spiritual reflection.

“The Fire Convocation will precede the International Prophecy Conference scheduled for October 26 to 30, 2026, at Throneroom Camp”.

The programme features breakout sessions on insecurity, displacement, religious freedom, spiritual deliverance and revival, community development, youth empowerment, political participation and inclusive governance.

The Fire Convocation commenced at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026, and is scheduled to end on Saturday morning.
