Organisers of the Miss Universe Jamaica pageant have confirmed the release of Gabrielle Henry from the hospital, four months after a devastating fall during the international Miss Universe competition in Thailand.
In a statement confirmed by pageant directors Mark McDermoth and Karl Williams, it was revealed that Henry is currently recovering under the strict supervision of her medical team. The beauty queen had been hospitalised since November 2025 following a shocking fall during the preliminary evening gown round, which resulted in a fracture and intracranial haemorrhage.
Despite her release, Henry remains under close medical watch and has not yet been cleared to resume her professional or pageant-related responsibilities. “She has not yet returned to active Miss Universe Jamaica duties; therefore, no interviews nor official appearances are currently on her itinerary,” the organisers stated.
The incident has had a significant impact on Henry’s personal career outside of pageantry. Legal representatives clarified that the injuries sustained in the fall have prevented her from returning to her residency as an ophthalmologist.
