A group, Movement for the Survival of the Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND), has said the sterling performance of the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), and the managing director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, the people of the Niger Delta region will give their massive support to President Bola Tinubu come 2027.
MOSIEND vice president, High Chief Thompson Fouye, disclosed yesterday while speaking with newsmen shortly after an interactive session between selected stakeholders and the NDDC board.
Fouye, who applauded Tinubu for appointing the board to pilot the affairs of the commission, said: “Their appointment suggests to MOSIEND that Mr. President is understands the the challenges and setbacks that has bedevilled the accelerated development of the region.”
He expressed his conviction that with the coordinated and calculated steps of the present board, that within a four-year time frame, there will be massive improvement of lives in the Niger Delta region.
The MOSIEND vice president called on all stakeholders to give massive support to the Ogbuku-led management team of the commission.
Fouye urged the president to hold current members of the NDDC board dear to his heart and give them all necessary support to put the Niger Delta on the fast lane of development.
He said, “Our yearnings to get a better Niger Delta is coming to fruition through the visionary leadership of the managing director of NDDC, Dr. Sam Ogbuku”.
