Chairman of MSM Group, Muazzam Mairawani, has urged Nigerian businessmen, especially young ones, to imbibe the culture of patience and face life’s challenges with faith and trust in the Almighty God.
He made the call ing a goodwill message at the Light of Guidance Youth Conference ’25 held at the National Mosque, Abuja on Sunday, where he emphasised that patience is a fundamental ingredient for success in business, education, and personal growth.
Speaking under the theme “Our Youth, Our Future: Living a Life of Purpose Using the Divine Light of Guidance,” Mairawani stressed that the pursuit of quick gains often leads to frustration and disappointment. He urged young people to embrace perseverance and moral discipline as the true path to sustainable success.
“Our youths must understand that life is a journey. Challenges are inevitable, but with patience, perseverance, and trust in Allah, every obstacle becomes an opportunity for growth. In business, in education, and in our personal lives, patience is what sustains progress.”
The conference, organised by Krystal in partnership with the Ma’aruf Foundation, brought together young Nigerians from diverse backgrounds to reflect on purposeful living and the importance of spiritual guidance in addressing contemporary challenges.
Mairawani noted that the country’s youthful population is both an asset and a responsibility, emphasising that young people must align their ambitions with values that promote long-term impact rather than immediate gratification. “Quick gains may appear attractive, but it is patience and faith that guarantee lasting impact.”
He further encouraged participants to cultivate spiritual resilience, explaining that trust in God provides inner strength during difficult times.
“When we trust in Allah, we find strength beyond our own abilities. This is what keeps us steady when life tests us,” he added.
The Light of Guidance Youth Conference has over the years provided a platform for youth empowerment, offering of faith-based inspiration and practical guidance. This year’s edition placed particular emphasis on values-driven leadership, resilience, and moral accountability.
