Two newlywed couples, Mr Paul and Mrs Loveth Ejeh, alongside Mr Chris and Mrs Florence Agbude, are excited after receiving an unforgettable wedding surprise from MTN Nigeria’s Y’ello Tide Wedding, each taking home N2 million.

The joyous presentations occurred at separate wedding receptions, marking the first of 25 such events planned across Nigeria from nearly 700 applicants.

Bride’s brother for the Ejehs, Madaki Gideon, shared how he had spotted a text message about the Y’ello Tide Wedding a few weeks earlier and applied on his sister’s behalf, simply because it aligned with her wedding plans.

Loveth Ejeh recounted her initial scepticism: “My brother helped me to apply and fill the form. When he told me about the Y’ello Tide Wedding, I wasn’t convinced, but I allowed him to go ahead. I really like the surprise because this is the first time I’ve received something like this, and it’s significant to think that it’s on my wedding day.

I am so happy and blessed.”

Her husband, Paul Ejeh, added, “Honestly, we never believed MTN Nigeria would come to our wedding ceremony to surprise us. At first, I thought it wasn’t real, but now that it is reality, we never believed until they arrived with this huge support, which will go a long way for us.”

At the Ejeh’s reception, Shogunle, Oshodi in Lagos State, MTN Nigeria’s Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer, Babalola Oyeleye, explained the initiative’s spirit: “Y’ello Wedding is part of our Y’ello Tide season of surprises.
