The Forum of all Zonal Coordinators of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has expressed confidence in the immediate past leadership of the association, commending their efforts in advancing student welfare across the country.

In a statement made available to journalists in Abuja yesterday, the zonal coordinators praised the past administration led by Comrade Lucky Emonefe as president and Senator Akinteye Babatunde as senate president for their dedication to the development of Nigerian students.

“Their leadership has significantly contributed to the progress and development of Nigerian students, and we commend them for their tireless efforts, vision and dedication to the welfare of students across the country,” the statement said.

The declaration of support was jointly signed by Daniel Friday Egga (Coordinator, NANS Zone C – North Central/Chairman, Zonal Coordinators Forum), Sadi Garba Said (Coordinator, NANS Zone A – North West), Michael Emmanuel (Coordinator, NANS Zone B – South South), Taiwo Owolewa (Coordinator, NANS Zone D – South West), Umar D. Afkawa (Coordinator, NANS Zone E – North East), and Ebube Ijeomah Charles (Coordinator, NANS Zone F – South East).

The forum also extended its congratulations to the newly elected NANS national executive led by Comrade Olushola Oladoha (president) and Senator Adamu Don Manu (senate president), expressing confidence in their ability to build on the achievements of their predecessors.

“We trust that their leadership will further enhance the welfare of Nigerian students. We are confident that their administration will continue to advocate for students’ rights and promote unity within the student body,” the statement added.
