The National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA), has announced plans to address the frosty issues that have eroded and impacted the Nigerian travel market.

Speaking to Journalists against the backdrop of the association’s non-elective 49th Annual General Meeting titled, ‘Collective Prosperity Through Market Protection,’ the President of NANTA, Yinka Folami, said the association will deliberate on effort geared towards institutionalising protective measures against the challenges facing the sector.

According to Folami, the association will explore opportunities to share and spread prosperity to its members.

“Determined to overcome the challenges posed by emerging market forces, NANTA will, on Wednesday, April 9th, deliberate on key efforts geared towards institutionalising protective measures to insulate and deflate the strange travel trade market viruses troubling the sector and also create opportunities to share and spread prosperity to members” Folami stated.

“This gathering will also have other key speakers such as Dr. Kemi Pinheiro, Dr Joseph Kithitu; president, Kenya Association of Travel Agents, who is also director/ Vice President UFTAA at the confab.”

Also speaking, the AGM Planning Committee chairperson and national publicity secretary on NANTA, Lola Adewole, stated that the AGM will allow travel agents to showcase various industry exhibitions.

“This will bring critical service providers in the industry and buyers together to strategically unveil emerging opportunities and also to provide data to licensed companies and organisations offering different types of travel and tourism experiences and services,” she stated.
