NAOWA President Inaugurates Modern School In Adamawa

The national president of the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA), Mrs. Femi Oluyede, has inaugurated ultra-modern Nursery and Primary School at the Gibson Jalo Cantonment, Yola.

Oluyede, during the commissioning, emphasized the need for transformative education for societal development and tools for unlocking the potential of young minds.

The wife of the COAS, represented by the Chairperson of NAOWA 3 Division, Mrs. Fibishola Abubakar, encouraged pupils to embrace learning with passion aimed at striving for academic excellence.

She lauded the commitment of the coordinator of NAOWA 23 Brigade, Mrs. Comfort Zawaya, and for steadfast support of NAOWA’s initiatives.

In his welcome address, the Commander Brig Gen Paul Zawaya stressed that the school is a beacon of hope and a testament to the Nigerian Army’s dedication to the welfare of its personnel, families, and host communities.

Zawaya acknowledged the contributions of NAOWA and the Nigerian Army Soldiers Wives Association (NASWA) in supporting military families. He urged students to take full advantage of the institution, which he said symbolizes a brighter future for the community.

Mrs. Comfort Zawaya, the Zonal Coordinator of NAOWA 23 Brigade, emphasized that the school is a significant step in fostering quality education and a conducive learning environment for children in the barracks.

She urged parents to prioritize their children’s education and described the facility as the fulfilment of a shared vision to nurture future leaders.
