The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has rolled out comprehensive plans for its 2025 Biennial General Conference, unveiling key programmes and strategic focus areas.

The president of NASFAT, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, during a press briefing at  NASFAT Utako Mosque in Abuja said the briefing served as a prelude to the highly anticipated conference, which will gather members, scholars, and stakeholders from across Nigeria and the diaspora.

He noted that the event represents another milestone in NASFAT’s mission of promoting faith, leadership, and community development through inclusive and strategic engagement.

The president revealed that the conference is themed “Building Resilience in a Changing World: The Role of Faith and Community.” He explained that the theme reflects the challenges of modern society, including insecurity, economic instability, environmental degradation, social welfare concerns, and the decline of family values, all of which demand a collective and faith-driven response.

According to Alhaji AbdulRauf, the four-day conference will provide a platform for faith-based dialogue, national reflection, and people-centred policy discussions. He emphasised that NASFAT has long been an advocate of peace and harmony, citing its 2012 National Summit on Peaceful Coexistence as part of its ongoing efforts to promote unity and nation-building in Nigeria.

He further noted that all conference deliberations will be anchored on NASFAT’s LEAD framework—Leadership, Empowerment, Agents of Change, and Dawah 2.0—which continues to guide the Society’s social, economic, and spiritual initiatives. The conference will feature keynote lectures, panel sessions, youth and women programmes, missioner meetings, and the Annual General Meeting.

Alhaji AbdulRauf emphasised that the press briefing demonstrates NASFAT’s transparency and openness to collaboration. He commended the media for its consistent partnership and urged journalists to continue promoting peace, truth, moral values, and developmental reporting that inspires positive social change across Nigeria.

NASFAT reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to strengthening its institutions, empowering individuals, and building resilient, faith-driven communities that promote peace, inclusiveness, and sustainable national development. The Society looks forward to a successful conference that will renew its purpose and enhance its service to humanity.

In attendance were Alhaja Ganiyat Omowunmi Babalola, National Women Affairs Secretary; Alhaja Nofisat Arogundade, Secretary, National Council of Elders; Alhaji AbdulFatai Olayemi, National General Secretary and Chairman of the Conference Planning Committee; Dr Nasir Raji Mustapha, FCT Zonal Chairman; Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Balogun, Chairman, Local Organising Committee; as well as Branch Chairmen from Dutse, Kubwa, Gwagwalada, Ido Seriki, Udu, and other NASFAT branches in the Federal Capital Territory.
