MFM and First Bank will face Nigeria Customs and ASO SKY Queens respectively in the semi-finals of the 2026 NBBF/Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League Final 8 in Lagos.
The semi-final line-up was confirmed after Nigeria Customs, winners of the Savannah Conference, suffered their first defeat of the season, while MFM maintained their unbeaten run to finish top of Group A.
Nigeria Customs had won all their matches in the two phases of the Savannah Conference before opening their Final 8 campaign with a victory over Air Warriors.
However, their impressive run came to an end on Wednesday when First Bank defeated them 69-47 in their final Group B match, allowing the Lagos-based side to finish top of the group.
In Group A, MFM continued their winning streak by defeating Savannah Conference rivals ASO SKY Queens 60-48 to secure top spot and set up a semi-final meeting with Nigeria Customs.
The result means MFM will now face the Customs in the first semi-final, with both sides targeting a place in the championship match.
The second semi-final will see First Bank take on ASO SKY Queens, with the Elephant Girls aiming to move a step closer to securing a record-extending 10th league title.
Meanwhile, Air Warriors recorded their first victory of the Final 8 on Thursday after beating Victoria Queens 60-47.
Titans, however, remain without a win after suffering a 43-39 defeat to Bayelsa Blue Whales, who secured their first victory of the competition.
The semi-final fixtures will be played at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, on Friday.
MFM will take on Nigeria Customs at 2pm, while First Bank will face ASO SKY Queens at 4pm.
The winners of both matches will advance to the final, with the remaining teams contesting the third-place play-off.
