NBC Receives Awards For Manufacturing Industry Growth

The Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Limited has been awarded at this year’s edition of the ECOWAS Manufacturing Excellence Awards(EMEA) organised by Independent Newspapers, BusinessDay- Ghana and African Consolidated Analytical Limited.

The awards ceremony held in Lagos saw NBC receive awards across three key categories including ‘ECOWAS Soft Drink Manufacturing Company of the Year’, and ‘ECOWAS Youth Empowerment Manufacturing Company of the Year’, underscoring the company’s commitment to job creation, skill development, and the empowerment of young Africans while fostering growth within the manufacturing industry.

Additionally, the awards highlight NBC’s commitment to excellence in product quality, safety, and innovation to industry standards.

Also, the managing director, NBC, Goran Sladic, was recognised as the Manufacturing CEO of the year. This award was in recognition of his outstanding leadership, strategic vision, and contributions to the manufacturing sector’s growth and development in the ECOWAS region.

The ECOWAS Manufacturing Excellence Award is aimed at celebrating outstanding individuals and organisations in the manufacturing industry that have demonstrated innovation excellence across their operations and have made remarkable contributions to the growth of the local economy.

Speaking on the awards, the Corporate Affairs and Sustainability director, Nigerian Bottling Company, Oluwasoromidayo George, expressed her gratitude to EMEA for the recognition and reaffirmed the Company’s commitment to championing innovative and sustainable practices in the sector.

She stated that, “we are truly honoured to receive these prestigious awards in recognition of our dedication to sustainable manufacturing, innovation, and youth empowerment. These accolades reflect our commitment to making a positive impact in the communities we serve and our dedication to maintaining the highest standards in manufacturing.

“As a prominent player in the manufacturing sector, we remain steadfast in our mission to provide our consumers with excellence in product quality, while also prioritising sustainability and youth empowerment as core pillars of our corporate responsibility.”

According to her, this recognition encourages us, even more, to continue on the path to making significant contributions to society and contribute immensely to the growth of the Nigerian economy.
