The new Madaucin Yamman Keffi, Muhammad Hassan Lawal, has said he would keep up with the good works and walk in the blue prints and legacy of his predecessors.

He disclosed this after he was installed as the new Madaucin Yamman Keffi at the Keffi Emir Palace under the leadership of Dr Chindo Yamusa III.

He said, ‘‘I’m incredibly grateful to Allah (SAW), the Emir of Keffi, my family and friends for their unwavering love and support. I’m especially grateful to my mother, who has been a guiding light in my life. I’m more than willing to work with the Emirate to make a positive impact on the people of Keffi. I’m committed to ensuring the community thrives and I’m looking forward to the journey ahead. Thank you all.

“I’m really grateful for this giant stride as it’s really overwhelming. I really commend this development. The love shown towards me is really massive and I won’t take that for granted. I promise not to disappoint and I’d keep up the legacy of my late father. My late father has made a name for us and I’ll always uphold the name wherever I go,’’ he said.

His late father, Hassan Lawal, before his death was aside being a three-time minister, also held the title of Jarmai Keffi.
