The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Remi Tinubu, has called on Nigerians to embrace peace, empathy and unity as the country enters the year 2026.

In her New Year’s message titled “2026: Hope on the Horizon,” Senator Tinubu expressed gratitude to God for the gift of a new year, describing it as a season filled with joy, hope and assurance in God’s promises for the nation.

Reflecting on the outgoing year, the First Lady said 2025 reaffirmed the enduring spirit of Nigerians, highlighting their courage, strength, creativity and belief in a better future.

She noted that she was inspired by the commitment of women, men and young people across the country who continue to work hard to uplift their families, communities and the nation.

As Nigerians step into the new year, she urged citizens to choose peace and empathy while deliberately strengthening national unity.
