Neymar has apologised following a training ground altercation with teammate Robinho Jr at Santos FC.
The incident reportedly occurred during a training session when the 34-year-old forward reacted angrily after being dribbled past by the teenage forward, who is the son of former Brazil international Robinho.
Eyewitness accounts suggest Neymar, visibly frustrated, tripped the youngster, leading to a heated exchange before teammates intervened to defuse the situation. Robinho Jr. was said to have been upset by the confrontation.
However, sources indicate that Neymar has since taken steps to repair the relationship, personally apologising to the player and reaching out to his family.
The pair are understood to share a positive working relationship, and the incident is not expected to have long-term repercussions within the squad.
Neither player featured in Santos’ recent 1-1 league draw against Palmeiras, while Robinho Jr. continues to build his profile following his promotion to the senior team last year, having already made eight appearances this season.
