A non-governmental organisation (NGO), Development Watchdog Concept (DWC), has condoled with detained deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Abba Kyari and his family over the death of their mother, Yachilla.

The group added its voice to the call on the federal government to grant him bail on sympathetic grounds.

The chairman of DWC, Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed, in a press statement released to journalists in Abuja, asked the federal government to help Kyari to get justice because the allegations levelled against him were bailable in nature.

Mohammed acknowledged the significant contributions of the seasoned police officer to the development of Nigeria’s security at large, while offering prayers for the eternal repose of the deceased.

While commiserating with Kyari, whom he said had no doubt excelled in his profession, over the sad loss, he reminded everyone of the preciousness of life and the importance of standing together in times of tragedy.

Mohammed said this is evidence in the outpouring of love and condolences to Abba Kyari and his family during this difficult moment.

The DWC chairman therefore called on the President Bola Tinubu administration to wade into the matter and order for his release and reinstatement to service with immediate effect.
