A non-governmental organisation (NGO), Kutigi Development Platform and Grassroots Support Initiative, has facilitated the construction of 2.5 kilometre road within Kutigi in Niger State.
The construction of the road from Kutigi town to Tasha Hajiya is aimed at reducing frequent accidents on the route.

The co-chairman of the organisation, Alhaji Muhammad Nda, who gave reasons for constructing the road at the maiden annual meeting and award presentation to deserving members of the group in Kutigi, Lavun local government area of Niger State said the organisation will continue to intervene where necessary.

He said the association has also built the capacity of over 100 youths in the areas of security awareness and rehabilitated others from drug abuse.

Nda, who is also a former director of currency with the Central Bank of Nigeria, advised the executives to prudently manage the funds of the association in their care to sustain public trust.
