Actress Niecy Nash has shared new details about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s closely guarded wedding, revealing that guests were required to surrender their mobile phones to protect the couple’s privacy.
Speaking during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday, Nash said attendees had to keep every detail of the ceremony under wraps until after it had taken place.
“I don’t think I’m speaking out of school because y’all seen it all online now, right?” she joked. “But at the time, you had to zip the lip. They took your phone, they put it in a glass case. It was crazy.”
Nash, who attended the July 3 ceremony at Madison Square Garden alongside her wife, Jessica Betts, described the event as “top secret,” adding that guests were told not to tell anyone about it beforehand.
Now that details have emerged publicly, the Scream Queens star also confirmed reports that comedian Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony.
“So I’m sure you guys heard by now that Adam Sandler officiated,” she said. “I didn’t know what he was going to have on. Well, you know, for Adam, he looked decent.”
Beyond the ceremony itself, Nash revealed that guests were treated to interactive games throughout the celebration, with winners entered into prize draws.
“They had a lot of games,” she explained. “You could play a game, and when you get a ticket for the game you play, you put it in a bucket and figure out if you can win the prizes that they gave away at the end. So that part was lovely.”
The latest revelations offer another glimpse into the highly private, star-studded celebration, which remained under tight security until after the couple had tied the knot.
