Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board have announced the resumption of Christian pilgrimage to the holy lands of Israel and Jordan.
The executive secretary of the board, Muhammad Awwal Aliyu, announced the preparations for the 2025 pilgrimage in a statement.
He explained that the Board has resumed preparations to the sacred journey after a period of absence, saying it will provide intending Christian pilgrims from the state the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of the Lord to pray.
He also disclosed that the cost of the total package for this year’s main Christians pilgrimage is N3,860,000.
The executive secretary advised intending Christian pilgrims to make full payment at a designated Keystone Bank account on or before December 15, 2025, to confirm their participation in the pilgrimage.
Accordingly, the board said it is committed to ensuring that all logistical arrangements, accommodation, and guided tours—are well-coordinated to facilitate seamless pilgrimage for all the pilgrims from the State.
It will be recalled that the pilgrimage to Jerusalem by the state’s contingents was suspended following the Palestinian and Israeli face off.
