This was disclosed in a statement containing messages of felicitation issued on Thursday on the occasion of the Independence Anniversary of Pakistan by the spokesman of the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ibienfa.

The statement noted that Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, extended the warmest congratulations and best wishes to His Excellency, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on the momentous occasion.

The statement noted that Pakistan’s Independence Day stands as a proud reminder of the Pakistani people’s enduring resilience, determination, and unity in their historic pursuit of self-determination.
It said “As Pakistan marks this significant anniversary, Nigeria joins in celebrating the shared ideals of freedom, dignity, and mutual respect that form the foundation of relations between our two nations.

“Nigeria and Pakistan enjoy a long history of cordial relations and fruitful cooperation—bilaterally and within multilateral fora such as the Commonwealth of Nations, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the United Nations. Our partnership is strengthened by collaboration in education, trade, defence, and cultural exchange, as well as our shared commitment to global peace and sustainable development.

“On this special occasion, Nigeria reaffirms her dedication to deepening these bonds, exploring new areas of mutual benefit, and working closely with Pakistan to address shared global challenges. We value the friendship between our countries and look forward to many more years of productive cooperation.

“Once again, we congratulate the Government and people of Pakistan on this joyful celebration and wish them continued progress, unity, and prosperity in the years ahead,” the statement said.
In a similar development, Amb Tuggar, reiterated Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties with Congo for the mutual benefits of both countries.

Tuggar made this known in a statement issued on Friday by Kimiebi Ebienfa, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of the country’s independence anniversary celebration.

The statement was against the backdrop of the minister’s congratulatory message to his counterpart, Jean-Claude Gakosso, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Congolese Abroad of the Republic of the Congo.

Tuggar said, “This anniversary is a symbol of the determination, unity and resilience of the Congolese people’s journey towards sovereignty and national development.

“As Nigeria joins in celebrating this historic milestone, we reaffirm our shared commitment to peace, mutual respect and enduring bonds of African brotherhood.

“Nigeria and the Republic of the Congo have maintained warm and cooperative relations strengthened by collaboration in trade, cultural exchange, maritime affairs and regional peace initiatives.

“On this special occasion, Nigeria reiterates its readiness to strengthen these valued ties, explore new areas of mutual benefits and continue working with the Republic of the Congo to address regional and global challenges.”
