Key healthcare products manufacturers and regulatory agencies in West Africa are coming together to unlock the potential of West Africa’s thriving healthcare and medical laboratory sector, as a major exhibition is set to hold in Nigeria.

At the moment, the regional healthcare community is pledging its support for the official launch of Medlab West Africa, organized by Informa Markets, as a standalone event in Lagos, Nigeria.

The event scheduled for 22 – 24 April 2024 in Lagos will be the expansion of the successful global event series of more than 20 years which has shows in the Middle East, Asia, and East Africa; and together connects over 2,000 international exhibitors with 20,000 attendees to generate USD $530 million in revenue annually.

Established as the must-attend medical laboratory event, Medlab West Africa will connect the region’s healthcare and medical laboratory communities through the most comprehensive experience that offers unmatched opportunities to discover the latest industry innovations and advancements whilst driving networking and collaboration between key stakeholders.

In a statement, Exhibition director, Medlab West Africa, Tom Coleman, said: “We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of Medlab West Africa as a standalone event in Lagos, Nigeria in 2024. This event will be the premier gathering for the medical laboratory and healthcare sector, and will provide a unique opportunity for key stakeholders to connect, network, and collaborate whilst exploring the latest technological advancements in drug delivery systems, diagnostic equipment, medical laboratory instruments, and quality control solutions, amongst others.”

Medlab West Africa, co-located with Pharmaconex West Africa, will offer a collective platform for attendees and key stakeholders in the ecosystem to explore new collaborative possibilities, knowledge exchange, and innovative technologies within the medical, pharmaceutical, and laboratory healthcare sectors. It will provide an unmatched platform for leaders to debate and shape the future of our region’s healthcare and laboratory landscape.

The three-day event will also host a series of CPD accredited conferences, industry workshops, and technical seminars aimed at driving topical discourse and addressing issues facing regional medical laboratory and healthcare sectors. Featured sectors for Medlab will include laboratory accreditation & quality management, clinical microbiology & infectious diseases, genomics and clinical chemistry.
