A Nigerian media executive and researcher, Max Nwabueze Amuchie, has been elevated to Expert Member and Peer Reviewer status in Social and Behavioural Sciences by ScienceOpen, a leading international open-science and research discovery platform.

According to ScienceOpen, the appointment was based on Amuchie’s ORCID publication record and scholarly contributions indexed on the platform.

With the new designation, Amuchie is now empowered to conduct post-publication peer reviews of academic articles on ScienceOpen, curate scholarly collections, and contribute to academic discussions through article evaluation and commentary.

In recent years, his recognition has coincided with an increased pace of research output, including a fourteen-part macro-theoretical portfolio. Among the works are The Insecurity Triad, the Trinity of State Decay (TSD), and the Decoupling Sovereignty Index (DSI) frameworks.

Speaking on the development, Amuchie described the recognition as both humbling and encouraging.

“This recognition reinforces the importance of open scholarship and interdisciplinary knowledge production.

It is particularly gratifying because it was conferred based on documented research outputs and scholarly engagement,” he said.

He also serves as Chief Executive Officer and Theorist-In-Chief of Sundiata Post Media Ltd. He leads the Sundiata Post Intelligence Unit (SPIU), the organisation’s emerging research and strategic studies arm.
