Nigerian Scholar, Mohammed, Joins Global Experts In Brain Health Research

A Senior Lecturer in the department of Psychiatry, College of Health Sciences, Yakubu Gowon University, Abuja, and Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr  Muftau Mohammed, has been selected for the 2026/2027 cohort of the prestigious Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health at the Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI), Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.

The University disclosed this on its official Facebook page.

The fellowship, which attracts multidisciplinary leaders and professionals from across the globe, supports leadership, research, and collaboration in brain health and dementia prevention equity.

Mohammed was selected by the Governing Board of the fellowship programme following a highly competitive international selection process.

The programme will provide robust opportunities for advanced research engagement and international collaboration with experts and fellows working across psychiatry, neuroscience, behavioural neurology, and global health equity.
