The Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) has sought partnership with LEADERSHIP Newspaper to drive technology innovation in the country.
Speaking yesterday during a courtesy visit to the corporate headquarters of LEADERSHIP in Abuja, NIM National Treasurer, Deconess Ijeoma Clara Okere, said the partnership would help the Institute achieve its vision of ensuring the effective use of technology for enhanced management.
Okere said NIM was determined to promote integrity, efficiency, and accountability through structured mentorship and professional development.
She said the visit to LEADERSHIP was also to seek coverage of NIM’s forthcoming annual national conference, which is scheduled for September 7 – 9 in Abuja.
“Our vision is to be a symbol of management excellence. Through our values of transparency, fairness, and effectiveness, we are determined to shape ethical leadership and corporate governance standards in Nigeria,” she said.
Responding, the Senior Vice Chairman/Editor-in-Chief of LEADERSHIP Newspaper, Azu Ishiekwene, assured her of LEADERSHIP’s support to NIM through extensive coverage of its activities and lauded the Institute for its consistency since its establishment in 1961.
He noted that NIM’s 2025 conference theme, “Leveraging Technology for Innovation, Creativity and Productivity”, aligned with global realities and opportunities in artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
“We are particularly excited not just because of your pedigree, but because of the relevance of the conference’s theme. Technology has its good and challenging sides, and exploring how it can drive innovation and productivity is one of the biggest questions of our time. LEADERSHIP looks forward to collaborating with you both on the conference and beyond,” Ishiekwene said.
The 2025 ANMC, scheduled to take place at the Abuja Chamber of Commerce, promises to attract the participation of policymakers, professionals, and stakeholders across sectors.
