As the world marks 2025 World Day for Safety and Health at Work, NIPCO Plc said, it stand out as a shining example of safety excellence in the downstream sector of the nation’s hydrocarbon industry.
The managing director/CEO, NIPCO Plc, Suresh Kumar who made assertion while highlighting the prime position the company places safety and health of it’s employees at the event hed in Lagos.

With a theme of ‘A Safe Workplace is a Happy Workplace,’ Suresh pointed out that NIPCO has consistently demonstrated its dedication to providing a secure environment for all employees as the greatest asset of the company

“Over the past two decades, NIPCO PLC has maintained an impressive record of no Lost Time Injuries (LTI), a testament to its rigorous safety protocols and high housekeeping standards. This achievement is a direct result of the company’s unwavering commitment to safety compliance and international best practices “ the MD noted.

According to him ,the company’s safety goals are centered around proactive risk management, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.

He said that by identifying and mitigating potential hazards, NIPCO PLC prevents accidents and ensures a safe working environment for all employees.

“Employee engagement is also a key aspect of NIPCO PLC’s safety culture. The company fosters a safety-first culture through training and awareness programs, ensuring that all employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to prioritize safety in their daily tasks “ the MD asserted

Suresh explained that the company’s commitment to continuous improvement is evident in its regular review and enhancement of it’s safety procedures.

This, he noted , ensures that the company’s safety protocols remain up-to-date and effective in preventing accidents.

Suresh pointed out that, the company’s safety slogan for 2025, “Zero compromise towards safety,” underscores its unwavering commitment to safety excellence and serves as a reminder to all employees of the importance of prioritizing safety in every aspect of their work.
