The husband of Nollywood actress Nkiru Sylvanus, Sammy Riches, has threatened legal action against individuals spreading what he described as false and malicious claims about their marriage.
The warning comes after photos and videos of the actress on a movie set went viral, prompting speculation about her appearance and the state of her marriage.
Some social media users claimed Sylvanus looked distressed, with others sharing her photo alongside the caption, “Cry for help,” while suggesting she was facing challenges in her marriage.
Responding to the rumours, Sammy Riches dismissed the claims as baseless and warned those behind the posts to desist or face legal consequences.
He stressed that the viral images were taken on a film set and accused mischief makers of deliberately misleading the public by presenting them out of context.
The development has sparked mixed reactions online, with many fans rallying behind the couple and condemning the spread of unverified rumours about celebrities’ personal lives.
Others urged social media users to distinguish between movie roles and real life, noting that actors often appear transformed for characters they portray on screen.
Sammy Riches’ response adds to the growing list of celebrities pushing back against misinformation and online speculation, particularly when it concerns their families and private lives.
