Owerri, the capital of Imo State, was electrified on Friday as Hon. Uche Ben Odunzeh, the gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) for the upcoming election, received a warm welcome from enthusiastic youths and press journalists at the Sam Mbakwe Cargo Airport.

Dressed in a white senator suit with a matching dark cap, Hon. Uche Ben Odunzeh expressed his gratitude to the youths and media for their overwhelming support. He emphasized that his manifesto focuses on addressing pressing issues, particularly the challenges faced by the youth, as he understands the hardships young people endure when they lack economic opportunities.

Insecurity in the state was a major concern for Odunzeh, and he attributed it to the neglect of the youth population. He firmly advocated for a comprehensive approach to tackle these issues, with a strong emphasis on youth empowerment through investment in education and skills development. His belief is that providing proper opportunities for the youth will enable them to become productive members of society, leading to the state’s growth and prosperity.

Moreover, Odunzeh pledged to improve the provision of basic amenities, including access to clean water, healthcare facilities, and better infrastructure throughout the state. He stressed that a more secure and prosperous Imo State can only be achieved by uplifting the youth and addressing their needs.

Hon. Uche Ben Odunzeh left the audience with a resounding message of hope and change. He urged the people to unite in building a better future for Imo State, emphasizing the need for a new approach to governance that prioritizes the welfare of the youths and the overall well-being of the state’s residents.
