Delta State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Peter Mrakpor (SAN), has declared that no court injunction restrained the party from holding its national convention scheduled for March 29th–30th, 2026, in Abuja.
Mrakpor made the clarification amid growing speculations and rumours that the convention might be stalled by legal challenges.
He dismissed such claims, describing them as false and misleading.
The Delta PDP chairman urged all delegates from the state to disregard what he termed “rumour mongers” and ensure their full participation at the convention in Abuja.
He warned that those spreading misinformation are enemies of the party, whose aim is to create confusion and undermine the PDP’s internal processes.
Mrakpor reaffirmed the party’s commitment to a successful and hitch free convention, emphasizing that there is no court order stopping the exercise.
“Our convention will hold as scheduled. There is no court injunction. The claims are false and misleading,” Marakpor stated.
