The majority leader of the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Husseini Dala, has that said there was no dispute between the Kano State governor, Alhaji Abba Yusuf, and the leader of the Kwankwasiya Movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

LEADERSHIP reports that Kwankwasiya Movement is the largest bloc in the ruling New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNP) in Kano State.

Hon. Dala spoke on Monday at the State Assembly complex while responding to questions by journalists on the rumoured row between the Kano State governor and the 2023 presidential candidate of the NNPP, Kwankwaso.

According to the lawmaker, the relationship between the duo is a father-son relationship, noting that the alleged rift was fabricated and spread by enemies of progress outside Kano State.

He also ruled out any discord between the State Assembly and Governor Yusuf, maintaining that the relationship among all leaders and institutions in the State remained cordial against what was being peddled by mischief makers who were eager to destroy the cordial relationship.

“Some people are all out and sponsored from far away Abuja to come and create rancour in Kano to distort the cordial relationship that exists between the legislative arm of government and the governor, leader of the Kwankwasiya Movement. The relationship between Engr Abba and Engr. Kwankwaso is a father-son relationship.

“By the grace of God, they will feel ashame of what they are doing and they will fail,” he stated.

On the position of the Assembly on calls for the governor assert himself politically and break away from Kwankwaso’s grip, the House majority leader emphasised that the governor is an independent-minded politician and was governing the state according to the dictates of his oath of office, noting that those making the calls for separation have intention of creating crisis in the state.

He said those behind such calls will fail and will never come back to power, emphasising that the governor and the State Assembly members were completely loyal to the NNPP and Kwankwasiya leader, Senator Kwankwaso.
