Enyimba forward Ezekiel Edidiong is eagerly anticipating the upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 36 encounter against his former club, Remo Stars, this Sunday.
Both clubs find themselves in a fierce battle to avoid relegation from the top-flight league this season.
Currently, Enyimba and Remo Stars are tied on 43 points, occupying the 13th and 16th positions, respectively. Edidiong, who made the switch to Enyimba from the reigning champions at the beginning of the season, is keen to demonstrate his commitment to his current club.
“I have fond memories of my time at Remo Stars and am looking forward to facing them this weekend,” Edidiong shared with the club’s media team. “While I feel a sense of nostalgia regarding my past with them, my priority now lies with the pride of the People’s Elephant.”
He urged Enyimba supporters to come out in large numbers to back the team in their quest for victory. “I call upon our esteemed fans to turn up in droves and support us as we strive for a crucial three points against Remo Stars,” he added.
