The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has aborted a planned burglary incident at Unguwar Fulani in Kumbotso local government area after responding promptly to a distress call from residents of the community.

A statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Abdullahi, noted that the response by NSCDC operatives from Kumbotso Divisional Office led to the arrest of nine suspects in connection to the stopped robbery.

The apprehended suspects include Abba Nasiru Adamu, Ibrahim Adamu, Hassan Sulaiman, Basiru Aliyu, Hashimu Ibrahim, Umar Hudu Hassan, Shamsu Haruna, Ibrahim Abubakar, and Mudassir Hassan Dahiru.

Abdullahi added that the suspects planned to burgle a polythene products company located in the Challawa Industrial Area of the community.

According to the statement, the suspects arrived at the scene in a Toyota Corolla E with registration number ABC396LX, with the plan to steal significant quantity of goods from the company.

However, he noted that the combined efforts by law enforcement agencies and vigilant members of the community thwarted the robbery plans.
