The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Jigawa State Command, has arrested nine individuals for alleged livestock rustling and vandalism of power supply facilities.

The newly posted NSCDC Commandant, Mr. Bala Bawa Bodinga, briefed journalists on the command’s operations across the state, stating that the suspects were apprehended at different locations concerning the crimes.

He disclosed that seven suspects were arrested in Danmanomi Village, Gumel Local Government Area, for vandalising power supply infrastructure, with exhibits recovered.

The commandant added that Adam Hassan of Kantamari Village, Kaugama Local Government Area, was arrested for alleged cattle rustling and had 11 livestock recovered.

In a separate incident, the NSCDC arrested Hassan Adamu for alleged fraud and inflicting grievous injury on Ibrahim Musa of Azama Village, Malam Madori Local Government Area.

The Commandant noted that these achievements were recorded within less than two weeks of his assumption of duty as the state commandant. He added that upon completing investigations, the suspects would be charged in court to face the full wrath of the law.
