The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has dismissed five volunteer personnel over allegations of unethical conduct, unprofessionalism and gross indiscipline.

The affected personnel were identified as Yakubu Mubarak Yusuf, Isma’il Muhd, Adamu Auwalu, Abdulrazaq Suleiman and Ahmad Sarki.

The Command’s spokesperson, Ibrahim Abdullahi, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Tuesday in Kano.

According to the statement, the State Commandant, Mohammed Agalama, approved their dismissal after a review of the allegations, which were found to be contrary to the corps’ ethics, values and operational standards.

The Command also disclosed that all uniforms, identification cards, accoutrements and other official items issued to the dismissed personnel had been withdrawn and seized.

Following the decision, Commandant Agalama directed Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and other relevant units across the state to ensure that the dismissed individuals are no longer recognised or engaged in any official capacity.

He reiterated the corps’ zero-tolerance stance on indiscipline, warning that any personnel found engaging in acts capable of tarnishing the image of the organisation would face strict disciplinary measures.

The Commandant reaffirmed the NSCDC’s commitment to professionalism, discipline and efficient service delivery in carrying out its statutory duties across Kano State.
