The Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Prof. Abubakar Sulaiman, has hailed Nigeria’s indivisibility and unity in diversity.

Sulaiman, in a statement signed by his media adviser, Mohammad Abdulkadri, gave the commendation on Monday, in his message on the celebration of the nation’s 64th independence anniversary.

He expressed delight that in over six decades of nationhood, Nigeria has not done badly among the comity of nations in the African sub-region.

The NILDS DG buttressed his conviction about the greatness of the country with the assertion that Nigeria is globally ranked as a leading, largest and stable democratic nation to be reckoned with among performing democracies of the world.

Sulaiman justified the celebration of the 64th anniversary of the country by alluding to the emerging economy ranking of Nigeria as Africa’s leading destination of choice with her over 200 million population as an asset.

He opined that at 64, Nigeria opens a new vista of hope under the Renewed Hope Agenda mantra of President Bola Tinubu.

He further expressed confidence that the Tinubu’s administration’s well-articulated policy trusts would meet the yawning and aspirations of Nigerians towards liberating them from the current hardship in the country.

While congratulating President Tinubu, the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt.Hon. Abbas Tajudeen on the independence anniversary, Sulaiman urged Nigerians to support the three arms of government towards deepening the nation’s unbroken 25 years democratic governance.

He promised that NILDS will continue to deepen the nation’s democratic processes, enhance institutional capacity and partnership with relevant government agencies in line with its core mandate.
