Grassroot caucus politicians, as well as traditional rulers in the Ijebu East local government area of Ogun State, have reviewed the democratic dividends accrued to their council areas and pledged to return President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for another term of office in 2027.

With particular mention of what they described as “his bold economic reforms and commitment towards repositioning Nigeria”, the Ijebu leaders officially declared that Tinubu deserved another term of office to enable him to consolidate on the foundation laid by his administration for a stronger educational, economic and community development for a secure nation.

The Ijebu leaders and stakeholders also vowed to ensure that the incumbent governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, secures the ticket to represent the Ogun East Senatorial District at the forthcoming 2027 National Assembly (NASS) election, despite the odds, due to his performance in the area of security.

These are part of the resolutions reached and announced during the stakeholders’ meeting held in Ogbere, the Ijebu East Local Government Area of the state, which brought together political leaders, traditional rulers, party members, as well as community representatives, where they critically assessed the performance of their leaders and chatted about fresh ways for future political direction in their communities.

Speaking at the stakeholders’ meeting, one of the community’s leaders, Chief Segun Osibote Aloran, alongside the Executive Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, Dr Oluwadare Kehinde, popularly known as “Hacco”, moved the motion for the endorsement of the duo of President Tinubu and Governor Abiodun for the Ogun East Senatorial seat.

Speaking on behalf of the leadership, Chief Osibote Aloran stated that the endorsement of President Tinubu was based on his bold economic reforms and commitment to repositioning Nigeria.

He noted that within the last two years, President Tinubu has demonstrated strong leadership through major economic reforms, infrastructure development, renewed focus on national security, and policies aimed at boosting local production and attracting foreign investment.

According to him, despite initial challenges, Tinubu’s policies are gradually laying a solid foundation for sustainable economic growth, job creation and national stability.
