Global President of the United Nations (UN) International Peace and Governance Council (UNIPGC) and the IRDCUN-EU permanent representative to the UN, Dr. Jonathan Ojadah, has been named a recipient of the 2024 United States (US) President’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

The recognition is accorded individuals who have contributed more than 4,000 hours of service in their lifetime.

The recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award receive a personalised certificate, an official pin, medallion or coin, and a congratulatory letter from the President of the United States.

While announcing his recognition, Ojadah shared his joy on social media, expressing gratitude for the meticulous review and thorough screening of his career achievements.

“The fruits of unwavering dedication and diligent work are indeed sweet. For all my strides and successes, I give all the glory to God Almighty,” he said.

In addition to the honour, Ojadah now holds the privilege of recommending individuals from Africa for this esteemed recognition under the patronage of President Joe Biden.

In a personally-signed letter, President Biden commended Ojadah for his service to humanity.

“On behalf of the American people, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to you for your volunteer leadership, and I encourage you to continue to answer the call to serve,” Biden wrote.

He also announced that the award would be presented during the Global Peace Leadership Summit and Awards on July 29, 2024, at South Shore Harbour in Houston, Texas.

Biden further praised Ojadah for organising the maiden edition of the Global Peace Leadership Summit & Awards in London in November 2023.

The summit brought together representatives from government, diplomats, civil society, and the private sector to address the growing threats to peace, security, and democratic governance, with a focus on African countries.

US Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, representing the District of Texas, also congratulated awardee describing his recognition as a momentous occasion.

In her letter, she lauded his humanitarian efforts and his role in hosting the upcoming Global Leadership Investment Summit and Awards Conference (GLISA TEXAS 2024) in Houston.

“Your passion for humanity and philanthropy, illustrated in your many initiatives to improve lives both socially and economically, is admirable,” she wrote.

The GLISA TEXAS 2024 aims to advance investments, trade, and capacity building by bringing together leaders, experts, and successful entrepreneurs to strengthen ties between the private and public sectors.
